This was the last 40mm Sea-Dweller to be manufactured since its inception in 1967. Furthermore, this iteration was only in production from 2015 until 2017; therefore, no other professional model has had such a short production run – at least since 1970. This Sea-Dweller 4000 is a king of the collectors’ and will always command investment status.
After an absence of seven years, the Sea-Dweller 4000 was reissued, loaded with the latest technology and sporting a slightly bolder, yet compact case in relation to its industrial dive, depth rating. This model carries the first of the green, chronometer, certification tags that were issued in July 2015 to guarantee a refined daily accuracy of -2/+2 seconds a day.
The versatile elegance of this rugged, industrial dive watch – equipped with a helium escape valve – enables the Sea-Dweller 4000 to be worn on all occasions. Due to its scarcity, the wearer can take pride knowing that very few other Rolex aficionados will own this classic collectors’ piece.
